The steps for DTF printing are as follows:
1. Design and prepare the image: Use design software to create the image and export it to transparent PNG format. The color to be printed must be white, and the image must be adjusted to the print size and DPI requirements.
2. Make the image negative: Print the transparent PNG image onto a special DTF negative. The negative needs to be clear, accurate, and should not show any distortion or scaling. 3.
3. Prepare the printer: Place the powder in the DTF printer, the printer needs to be adjusted for temperature and pressure. Some printers require a print head to be installed, while others use an alternative printing technology.
4. Printing: Place the prepared negative on the DTF printer and follow the printer’s operating instructions. The printer will print onto the DTF film that encapsulates the negative using special toner pigments.
5. Extract the image: Place the printed image onto the special DTF bond paper, align the pattern, and fix the toner on the paper using pressure and heat treatment methods.
6. Curing the image: Using a special heat press, the DTF bond paper is placed on the heat press and processed for a certain time to make the image more fixed.
7. Peel off the adhesive paper: Cut or tear off the DTF adhesive paper from the image, leaving the powdered pigment image. Images can now be applied to clothing, bags, and other media.
